Seth's workshop - the finishing touches!

After the excitement of yesterday's amazing workshop (read all about it here if you missed it, or check out the FB group) I woke (for a trip to the loo admittedly) at 4.30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep.  Eventually giving up on sleep (will snooze later!)  I took my canvas back to bed and carried on where I'd left off last night with some finishing touches.

Here then, it is in all it's finished (probably) close up detail...

Thanks Seth, I learnt so much.

lots more mark making and outlining and emphasising of the marks I made yesterday (both in class at at home after)
I just used a variety of black and white pens, and a red Stabilo finerliner

then time for some paint splattering - I just used black and white

and some closer close ups!

Obviously I didn't do the paint splattering in bed, that would be silly...... I did that in my normal crafting place, on the living room carpet...

Now, to catalogue all the new stuff and then hopefully play with it!

Wwell this is the stage I love the best. Getting out the paint pens and adding marks and doodles! As Sam says, it helps images and words to really pop. I just like the 'playing' bit. This really is a great canvas Helen. I love the way you've used colour and the whole way it's organised. Will this influence your journaling now? Can't wait to see what else you make now with your stash horde! Lol

So pleased I am not the only dawn crafter Helen, but if it's in your head you have to get on with it and your canvas is super.

Impressive finish. It's amazing what you can do if you spend a bunch of time on a canvas. You kept going back to it until you were happy, and that truly impressed me.

Something else impressed me is you catalog your new purchases. Somehow I had no idea you even knew where things were. Glad to know you are truly on top of all these art tools you purchase on what seems like a weekly basis. Again, I would LOVE to spend one day with you on your "magic" carpet.

Crafting in bed now, eh? Glad you didn't do the spattering there! Lovely to see all these close-ups of an incredibly detailed piece. Hope you caught up on the snoozing later...

Oh, meant to say before, I've no idea how you keep your camera paint-free - mine is fully bespattered.

Hi Helen! Great piece! The best part is seeing your creating. BTW, I never thought I would find another artist that paints in bed and creates the messier parts in the front room. Yes, my carpet, the wall and even my pellet stove all have colorful splashes and specks of color. I love it! Have a great week. Hugs, Rasz
